I had this assembled in under half an hour without needing a single power tool, and the wood is smooth enough to work with bare hands. The 4x8 size gives me plenty of room for tomatoes and peppers this season.

The 3/4-inch thick cedar boards feel solid and were already sanded, so I didn’t have to deal with splinters while assembling it in about twenty minutes. No tools needed really sold me, and it’s held up perfectly through a few heavy rainstorms.

Finally had my first harvest from this bed, and the 10.5-inch depth really made a difference for my root vegetables. The untreated cedar was already showing that nice silvery patina after a couple weeks of sun.
