I’ve been gardening for years, but this is the first raised bed that actually lets me tend my tomatoes without my back hurting—the elevated design is a game changer. The deep 11/16-inch thick cedar walls feel sturdy and should hold up well through a few seasons of weather.

Assembling this raised bed took me about an hour with just a screwdriver, and the cedar has a nice natural smell. The 31-inch height makes it so I don’t have to squat at all when tending my tomatoes.

The 24x48 footprint fits perfectly on my small balcony, and the deep soil bed means my tomatoes actually have room to spread their roots. Cedar smells great and the 3/4 inch boards feel sturdy, no wobble at all once assembled.
