These cedar posts are solid and true to size at 2.5 x 2.5 inches, so the boards slide in without any wobble. I used the 22 inch height with six of the 3.5 inch boards and ended up with a nice deep bed for my carrots. Grain looks good too, no cracks or splits in any of the four I got.
